Rheological additive D410R 

(Similar to BYK-410)

Summary 

D410R is a liquid rheological additive suitable for medium polarity and solvent-free coating systems as well as room temperature curing resin systems. Additives produce highly thixotropic flow behavior, improving anti sagging and anti settling performance. This additive can also be added later.

Product Application

Industrial coatings Features and advantages: After mixing and adding to the coating system, the additive will generate a three-dimensional network structure, forming a thixotropic flow behavior that is very suitable for preventing sedimentation and anti sagging performance without affecting leveling.

Usage and dosage

The additive should be added to the coating system under moderate shear force to ensure uniform mixing and rapid dispersion. It does not require specialized temperature control, and this additive can be added to the grinding material stage or suitable for later addition to adjust viscosity. If the additive is suitable for this system, the rheological effect will significantly
increase, depending on time and polarity. Generally, the rheological effect can be evaluated 2-4 hours after mixing. This additive is recommended for medium polarity systems. 0.2-0.5% additive dosage (supply form) is based on PVC resin to prevent sedimentation and color floating.0.5-1% additive dosage (supply form) is based on PVC resin to prevent sagging.

Storage and Packaging

Temperature sensitive, stored under dry conditions. During storage, slight turbidity may occur, but it does not affect the rheological effect. It is not recommended to store for more than 12 months.
