1, General Description
NPPN-638S is DAHUA's highest-performing phenolic novolac epoxy resin, engineered for the most thermally demanding composite applications. With an epoxy equivalent weight of 155-170 g/eq and high epoxy functionality, this resin achieves the highest crosslink density in the phenolic novolac product line, yielding a glass transition temperature (DMA onset) above 220C when cured with aromatic diamine hardeners. The ultra-high functionality results from a proprietary multi-step synthesis process that maximizes epoxy group incorporation while maintaining processable viscosity. NPPN-638S delivers performance approaching polyimide-level thermal stability while maintaining the processing advantages and cost-effectiveness of epoxy resin technology.
