1, General Description
NPPN-638S is an advanced phenolic novolac-based multifunctional epoxy resin engineered for applications demanding exceptional thermal stability. The resin features an epoxy equivalent weight range of 190-210 g/eq, delivering enhanced crosslink density after cure. When cured with appropriate hardeners such as aromatic amines or anhydrides, NPPN-638S achieves a glass transition temperature exceeding 180C, making it far more heat resistant than conventional BPA-based epoxy systems. Each molecule contains an average of 3.8 epoxy functional groups, enabling a highly crosslinked three-dimensional network with outstanding dimensional stability under thermal cycling. The tight network structure also provides exceptional resistance to aggressive chemicals including concentrated sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, and chlorinated solvents, making NPPN-638S a versatile solution for the most demanding industrial environments.
